The little fellow below look familiar? Although all of Houligans Ruff will not be available, we would still like to continue the Parrsboro St Patrick’s Day Party on Saturday March 17th. Jigg’s Dinner at the United Church, two hours of rollicking Irish-ish entertainment at The Hall and then down to Bare Bones to finish the night off in the finest of Irish traditions! What we would like is for anyone who can play a tin whistle, dance a jig, recount a favourite Irish tale, or Continue Reading »

You’ve not seen dust flying out the doors of The Hall? Has construction on the accessible washroom been halted? Actually, it has. For a very good reason. Exterior Painting Almost Complete
Seabord Painting has only one small portion of the western wall remaining to finish up with the final coat of heritage colour. Completing this small portion will conclude this phase of the exterior paint project. The Shoreline Journal is helping The Hall. For every $23 subscription we sell on their behalf a $6 contribution comes back to us, bringing The Hall one step closer to achieving it’s vision of a Centre for Culture and Well Being. Please click Fundraising to find out more.
If you return your returnable bottles to Durant’s Recycling on Hwy. 1 in New Prospect you can donate your return to The Hall. All funds donated through this will go to maintaining the hall and the program for continuing improvements.
Thanks to the Durants!
Here is a good example of the craftsmanship that went into the building of the annex section of the building. These pins secured two sections of sill timber together in a lap joint. We still don’t have a construction date of the annex. If anyone can help with the dating please let us know. This deteriorated timber was rescued from the repair debris during the replacement procedure for rotting sill sections where the annex and main hall join.
Have a look at the Renovation page to see what’s happening.
