The Parrsboro Upstream Jazz Sessions

August 25^th to 29^th, 2009

at the  Citizens’ Band Hall

 

 

 

The Parrsboro Upstream Jazz Sessions is a five day Intensive covering improvisation and compositional strategies related to the free jazz orchestra, funk ensemble and silent film accompaniment. Participants are welcome to fully explore three distinct streams of cutting-edge jazz practice with the opportunity to specialize based on natural selection, faculty consultation and orchestration. The resulting ensembles will perform a public concert on Saturday, August 29^th at 8:00 pm at the Parrsboro Citizens’ Band Hall.
