The Cultural Campus Committee (ltor) Mary Vingoe, Michael Fuller, Harry Thurston, Krista Wells and Paul Cram. Missing : Pam Halstead (she missed the boat) and Jamie Oatt

The Cultural Campus Committee experienced an unusually long retreat over this past weekend (Oct 3-5) on Long Island in Five Islands. We gathered there as planned to brain storm the cultural campus. We had a very successful couple of days while enjoying the spectacular hospitality provided by Dick Lemon and his staff. The beautiful location and very comfortable facilities provided us the luxury of focusing on the work at hand.

Our main task was to define the vision, goals and programming of the Cultural Campus. The vision and goals are for all to see by going to the menu to thr right and clicking on Cultural Campus and then following the links.

For the coming season we will be seeking funding to present four and perhaps five programs generated withing the Association as well as inviting other artists join us under our cultural umbrella to present workshops of their own which we will support and promote.

A big thanks to Dick Lemon for his support and belief in our goals at the hall. If you’ve not been click on this link to visit his island retreat website. http://www.fiveislandsretreat.com

The retreat lasted longer than expected due to an exceptionally strong wind out of the west which kept us island bound for an extra twelve hours
